It's been a good year for our co-productions with ABC Classics at the ARIA awards. The best classical album goes to Mad Rush (piano music of Philip Glass played by Sally Whitwell) with a nomination for Latitude 37 as well! The Pinchgut Opera production has also been released, and we've been invited to produce the recording for this year's production in December.

The Pinchgut Opera production of L'anima del filosofo was recorded at Angel Place, Sydney in conjunction with Greenside Productions and the ABC. It was recorded at 24/96kHz and equipment included DPA, Schoeps and AKG microphones, Sonodore preamps and Mytek converters. This exciting historically-informed performance is due for release around the middle of 2011.

The complete Sibelius Symphonies and the Violin Concerto have just been released by ABC Classics! Recorded over the past three years, this is the first complete Sibelius cycle recorded by an Australian orchestra.

The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra recording of the Handel Concerti Grossi has just been awarded the Gramophone Magazine Editor's Choice Award in the March edition!

ARIA Awards have been announced, and the winner for Best Classical Album goes to...Handel Concerti Grossi with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra! Also, the Limelight Award goes to...the Complete Beethoven String Quartets with the Goldner Quartet!

ARIA Award nominations are out, and there are two productions nominated this year - the complete Beethoven String Quartets performed by the Goldner String Quartet (edit plan, editing and mastering - also nominated for a Limelight award) and the Handel Concerti Grossi Op.6 (edit plan and editing for around half of them), both on ABC Classics.

The final of 5 volumes of French baroque music, The Perfection of Music (ABC Classics) series, has been released. These discs were recorded in the beautiful surroundings of the Benedictine monastic town of New Norcia, Western Australia (about 2-hours north of Perth) over the past 4 and a half years with musicians from around the world.

We have taken delivery of a pair of Lipinski 707 speakers. These are considered by some to be the finest speakers made – they do indeed deliver an unprecedented amount of detail while sounding natural and open.
September 2007 The latest release of Ensemble Arcadia, Trio Sonatas (Tall Poppies) has been nominated for an Aria Award for Best Classical Album.
